This weekend, Layne, Alex and I will be watching a good old-fashioned fun, cheap zombie film on Chili Cinema. The George A. Romero classic, Land of the Dead. I know that’s stretching the word classic there… But hey, zombie Eugene Clark and Dennis Hopper!
We’ll be hitting play at 9 pm GMT or 4 pm EST for our American friends, and tweeting like zombie splatter fangirls. You can find our Twitter handles at @Chew_On_Glass, @SynBoomstick and @TheLittleFears.
I do still have some free £5 vouchers to give away for Chili Cinema. No strings attached, just swing by the twitter post linked to below and reply saying you’d like a ticket.

Hah! How witty can the undead be? o.o
They can be pretty witty Peter… it’s called acting… I just hope you didn’t offend any of the Zombies out there…
Reckon my bad puns offend enough of the living to remember them after death tbh… 😛

Man I miss watching cheap horror regularly! I don’t even have the Horror channel anymore! Gah!
Since getting a Roku titles have been placed into my hands that I would never have dreamed of running into. If I wasn’t so distracted by the apartment my blog would have gotten fat other the last week.
Hah. I have an android Mad Catz thingy, but its in a box in Scotland at the moment. I have a phon, a laptop, and a teensy bag of things to keep me company until the end of Jan in London.o.o
Did you ever read Nachos as Big as Your Ass? That’ll make you think twice about Chili cinema, but not about B Movie Classics. Like the one about the giant ants? To quote James Brown. “OW! Good Gawd, y’all” Have fun!
Oooh giant ants! Do you mean Them? I saw it in the heady days of late night channel four!
Yes! As classic as the Creature from the Black Lagoon! I’m waiting for Giant Ant and a nuclear joke!
Ohh, Animal Alphabets on Twitter is doing a run of monsters. Creature from the Black Lagoon was on 2 weeks ago. Some fab art! I gotta revisit some of the old black and white monster films. A lot of the Universal monsters were ignored in the UK for Hammer Horror. I still adore Hammer Horror but I musta seen all of them 10 times each. Universal monster films I was lucky if I saw once heh.
Ooh, Romero’s fun (in a juicy sort of way…I think the ’78 Dawn of the Dead is my favorite:)). Enjoy!
Ahh Dawn of the Dead! Yes, also my fave. 🙂
My teenage daughter have been fascinated with zombie movies and series. Too bad I’m not in your area.

If you love zombie movies, you would love the zombie woods experience here in Tennessee, USA. Each October brave zombies coming for you as you make your way along a trail with a paintball gun.
Ahh, I think I’ve seen a YouTube of that. Looks great fun! That sorta thing along with house haunts have never made it big across the pond. Would love be fab if they did!
